Wrestling your curved text into submission in PSP 7 Part 2 Moving your text to the inside of a preset shape. This is where most people have a problem in PSP 7 but once you have done it a couple of times it will all fall into place.
|
First we must change the path of the vector shape which will move the text to the inside of the shape.
| |
|
First activate the Vector Object Selection tool by clicking its button. Choose "Node Edit" from the Tool Options panel. | ![]() |
| Then right click one of the nodes of the shape and choose "Edit" - "Reverse Contour" The path of the vector shape is now reversed so when you add text it will appear on the inside of the shape. |
|
| |
![]() | Add a new layer for the text. "Layers" - "New Raster Layer" Click on the text tool, ![]() Then hold cursor over the shape until it changes to a letter A |
| With the text centered this is what you get which is not at all what you really wanted. What you thought you would get was the text going around the bottom inside. To get the text around the inside bottom of the shape this is what you must do. | ![]() |
Instead of centering the text make it left justified which moves it to the left side of the shape![]()
Now simply add spaces in front of the text until it is pushed into the position you want.![]() Remember that you can use any of the preset shapes or even shapes you make yourself and the text will follow the shape.
